We were delighted to be chosen by the developers of exclusive newbuild mansion Robinswood, on the Wentworth Estate in Surrey, for a major project that included supplying 7, over-sized floor to ceiling frameless shower screens for the property’s ensuite bathrooms.
Since the plans required unusually large shower screens measuring 2.8m high x 800mm, there were engineering as well as design issues to solve. Using our experience in manufacturing and fitting shower enclosures for unusual spaces, we used top and bottom mounted pivot hinges, as the majority of the door weight is transferred to the floor, rather than hinging from adjacent glass panels which could have caused stress and malfunction over time.
Working closely with the developer and the client, the super-sized frameless floor to ceiling shower enclosures were manufactured at our local workshops and fitted by our own team of craftsmen, following the Showerpower 10-step fitting plan. To complete this major project, we also created a pair of doors with a divider panel separating the shower and wc and a walk-in screen in the basement leisure area.
The project is now completed and the client is delighted with the elegance of their floor to ceiling shower enclosures, which reflect and complement the grand design of their new home.
