Prestigious London developer St George’s PLC chose Showerpower to provide folding shower enclosures for wheelchair access/disabled showers at their new, flagship Fulham Reach apartments, on a supply-only basis.
Fulham Reach is a high-end development of £850,000-£3,550,000 properties and St George’s brief demanded a combination of upmarket elegance with a highly detailed technical specification.
Most importantly, the showers needed completely level access for wheelchair users, which meant designing the shower enclosures to work without the use of a bottom track.
Working closely with the client, we designed enclosures with wall-hung doors that would fold back against the wall when access was required and fold out to join a fixed panel on the adjacent wall when the shower was being used.
Working to St George’s extremely meticulous measurements, Showerpower designed, manufactured and supplied the 1.4m wide x 1.95m high frameless shower enclosures, which included wall/glass hinges and push fit sealing.
Together, St George’s measuring skill and Showerpower’s specialist design experience ensured a completely trouble-free fit and the frameless shower enclosures were in place on time and on budget.
The client was delighted with the result, which complements a growing portfolio of completed supply-only projects for this award-winning developer.
