When a private client in Thursley wanted a bespoke, frameless shower enclosure for his Surrey home he chose Showerpower to make it happen.
The enclosure was part of his vision for luxurious guest accommodation in a converted barn on the property. The new ensuite bathroom, within the bedroom, was to accommodate a bath, shower and WC as well as the utilities and the client requested that the design should have clean, simple lines and be completely frameless.
After discussing the brief with the client, we designed and planned a supersized clear, frameless screen to run the full width of the guest accommodation, separating the shower and bathroom from the sleeping area. We positioned the WC and hot water tank to the side of the space and placed the shower enclosure in the centre, with sliding doors.
As the water tank and WC needed to be out of sight, we enclosed them in cubicles of obscure glass, while the bespoke, frameless shower enclosure was in clear, low-iron glass for maximum light and clarity.
As much of Showerpower’s work is in Surrey and Sussex, we have ample experience of installing shower and bath enclosures in converted agricultural, heritage and historic buildings and this made us the natural choice for this project.
As a result, the project ran smoothly and in particular, the visual transition from clear glass to opaque glass across the front of the space worked particularly well: a result of our meticulous planning, measuring and installation procedures.
Since the structure did not require bracing bars, it also satisfied the client’s wish for a completely frameless look for the finished room.
