Frameless two sided shower enclosure
and clever use of space

A couple in West Sussex approached us with a challenge: they wanted to update an existing bathroom which hadn’t been touched for years. The room was tiny and the bath took up the entire width of the room, with the toilet and wash hand basin on other wall.

While the client wanted a shower enclosure, with the bath removed and the rest of the furniture updating, Showerpower came back with another solution: to knock through the wall behind the bath into the adjacent room (at that time an office). Working closely with local builders who removed the wall, we now had a space that would accommodate both a bath and a separate shower together with a new basin and toilet. The old bathroom was converted into a passageway and some useful cupboard space added. The old office was moved downstairs.

Now the client had a large bathroom and, having seen our bespoke frameless 3 sided shower enclosures wanted one for their bathroom. However, after careful consideration of layouts, we suggested positioning the bath on the wall and having a frameless 2 sided shower enclosure from our Loft Shower range opposite it, under a sloping ceiling.

The two-sided shower enclosure was 1400mm long and 900mm wide and we used a fixed panel with a raked top edge under the sloping ceiling with a full height glass hinged door closing onto a fixed return panel. The system was totally frameless, with anti-limescale coating on the clear, 10mm safety toughened glass.

The entire project took 4 weeks from concept to completion.
