Case Study: Frameless Range Goes Round The Bend
Having undertaken an extensive refurbishment of his home, which included the creation of a luxurious en-suite bathroom, the owner of one of Surrey’s finest country houses found it wasn’t straightforward finding curved glass to fit his new shower area.
The client had previously acquired a beautiful antique solid marble bath tub and wanted a showering area to complement the bath.
The shower walls and floor throughout the bathroom were clad in the same marble to match the bath. A kerb was created at the front of the shower floor with a rebate to allow glass to be positioned. However, the issue was where to find the glass panel to suit. The radius for the kerb and glass to follow had been hand drawn on the floor by the customer as an idea. He wasn’t sure if it was achievable and certainly couldn’t find what he was looking for in any bathroom shop!
The breakthrough came when the marble company he had commissioned, suggested Showerpower™ for the glass. We were able to visit the property for an on-site consultation with the client. We offered advice, produced templates for glass manufacture and installed the rather large and heavy one-off glass panel for a truly seamless buying experience!
